Kyrgyzstan is one of the last places on Earth where nomadic traditions remain a living part of daily life. Sleep in a yurt, learn eagle hunting from masters, ride horses across endless steppes, and share meals cooked over open fires.

Honest reactions from backpackers, photographers, and adventurers who've explored Kyrgyzstan
Son Kul was the best part of my Kyrgyzstan trip. Sleeping in a yurt at 3,000 m, waking up to horses grazing outside — it felt like stepping into another century.
Kyrgyzstan is an adventure that doesn't come with souvenir shops or matching tour group hats. It's wild, untamed, and just a tad off the grid — and that's exactly what makes it magic.
I was always blown away by photos of Kyrgyzstan, but the reality exceeded every expectation. The Alay Valley alone was worth the entire journey.
This country changed my understanding of hospitality. A random family invited us for tea, which turned into a 3-course meal, which turned into sleeping on their floor. They wouldn't accept payment.
Zero traffic outside Bishkek. We drove 5,000 km in 10 days through some of the most beautiful mountain scenery on the planet. Kyrgyzstan is a central Asian paradise.
The night sky at Song-Kul is something I'll never forget. No light pollution for 100 km in any direction. I saw the Milky Way with my naked eyes for the first time.
